8/10
The room was serviced just once during my four-night stay, and calling it “serviced” feels generous. Used mugs and glasses were left there, and nobody topped up the tea or coffee. It's a lovely hotel, and the reception team were great, so I don't understand why housekeeping is this poor when the place could easily earn a five-star review.

6/10
The kids' play area was superb, the best I've seen. Breakfast and dinner were good, and the room was reasonably clean, though it could have been better. The hotel itself feels worn and needs refreshing. The location is just okay, especially with a big construction site right next door. The aquapark was dirty and nothing special, so it's not worth visiting now.

They're offering cheap deals, but none of the hotel's facilities work, starting with basic Wi-Fi and extending to the restaurant and SPA.

The hotel could be popular again once the aquapark reopens. It used to be connected to the hotel, but now it's closed to the public. When it starts up again, the restaurant should too, and then I'll give the hotel five stars.

Some things could be improved, but it was a good experience overall and good value for the money.
