A nice, clean room with a large bathroom made this a good place to stay in Giżycko. The air conditioning came in handy on hot summer days, and there were cooking facilities in the lobby.

The room itself was up to standard, and the owner was really nice when we spoke by phone. There wasn’t much service in person: the man we paid appeared at the start, then we heard from the owner remotely. We’d just got back after staying in room No. 1, right at the top on the third floor. Those stairs were brutal. I felt like I was going to have a heart attack each time. At 580 PLN a night, that climb made the price feel unreasonable to me.

We had a great stay, and the property manager was excellent to deal with. Getting in was easy: the entry code came by email, and our key card was waiting inside. Dropping it off later didn’t require arranging a time. The rooms are spacious, clean, and nicely furnished. The beds were comfortable, the bedding soft, and the bathrooms roomy, with large showers and linear drains. Air conditioning let us set a gentle airflow that kept the nights cool. Each room also has a small fridge with a freezer compartment. An extra bed for a child was included in the price, which was a big plus. There’s a shared, fully equipped kitchenette and dining table on the first floor, used by five rooms. Our room looked out over either the parking lot or the passage. The guesthouse is right in the city center. We highly recommend it.

After a long day, it was a lovely place to relax. The room was very spacious, and with a small child I could fit a travel cot, mattress, and all our suitcases and stroller without a problem. The shower was especially good, big and with strong pressure, which you don’t often get in a room like this. It was clean and pleasant throughout. The location worked perfectly for us, close to the beach and center, with a shop about 200 meters away and a pub on the other side of the building. I only wished there were a kettle in the room, though there was one in the hallway. Parking was paid public parking, but 60 PLN for the week wasn’t a disaster.
