Hotel Pajero

The staff were pleasant and communicated very well in English, which was helpful since finding English speakers in the area generally wasn't easy. There was plenty of customer parking, and a nice bar behind the hotel that probably belongs to the same establishment. Breakfast had a good range, and the price was reasonable. I stayed one night, June 25-26, 2024. The room was average, maybe a little above average. The hotel is in an unusual spot, outside a big town, but handy if you're nearby. The Wi-Fi signal in my room wasn't strong enough.

The food was amazing, the best I've eaten in Poland, and I liked the design of the hotel and its grounds. But the stay itself was rough. There was smoke coming from the neighboring room, so I had to keep the window closed, and there was no AC. The floors throughout the room and hotel were very dirty, probably from truck drivers' shoes, since this place is attached to a truck stop. Wi-Fi was very slow too. I complained at the desk, and a nice woman gave me another room, but it wasn't any better: it was dusty and had cracked bathroom tiles. I know it's a two-star hotel, but basic things should still be in order. In some countries similar hotels are even worse, but I don't blame the countries for that. It's inexpensive, but staying here means putting up with no AC, smoke, dirt, and slow Wi-Fi, or paying more per room. I was naive to trust the positive reviews. Maybe things were better before, or perhaps there's a new owner who cares less than the previous one. I don't know, that's just my impression. The owners should take pride in the place. Breakfasts were delicious and had something for different tastes. The rooms are consistently spotless, and the staff are polite and helpful. It's a lovely hotel for a low price. There's also inexpensive paid parking behind the hotel.

There are good shops nearby, and the hotel has everything you need while traveling. The rooms are very good, and the Polish food is excellent. It's one of the best places to rest when traveling to or from Belarus.
