The hotel could use some work. There was no air conditioning, and without window screens those huge mosquitoes kept landing on me while I was trying to sleep. Still, I had a good stay: the service was cool, the food was great, especially the local beer, and there were good restaurants nearby. I also found a really nice ice cream shop in the town center. I was there for a local Caterpillar plant SAP implementation.

The setting is incredible, but the hotel needs renovating. Service was a mixed bag: one woman was great, while a man was rude and wore his mask below his chin. The spa didn’t impress me either. The so-called swimming pool is only about 3 metres by 1 metre, so it’s not really suitable for swimming. In its current state, this is a three-star hotel.

The people here made me feel welcome, even though I was the only African-American guest. I stayed while working in Poland last year, and the hotel was cool. There’s a serene lake outside, plus a water park with nice cold beer and great food. The town was quiet and pleasant to visit, and on the weekend we went shopping in some of the smaller nearby towns. Just keep in mind there’s no air conditioning. A small fan would do the job. Enjoy! Guy

The rooms were clean, and both breakfast and dinner were very good. It’s a small spa hotel by a lake, with lots to do outdoors and around the water. But private events seem to be very popular here, and that made the place restless during my stay. One event went on until midnight, and the next evening another continued until 4 am. The music was so loud I could barely sleep. I nearly lost a workday from not getting proper rest, so I wouldn’t choose this hotel for a business trip.

They really seem to care, and the spa is nice. There’s a special weekend rate from Friday to Sunday, too. Be sure to take a walk around the lake. For a snack, head to Janow, and Lublin is only 73 km north. Best of the best!
