Arche Zamek Janów Podlaski

We were paying 1,000 Zloty a night for a superior room, but couldn't use either swimming pool because teenage boys were playing ball in both. There were kids clubs and football clubs staying there, we were told, but nobody warned us beforehand. It was noisy everywhere. Our room was in the main house beside a small ballroom where a children's dance event was very loud. When we asked to move, we were told there were no other rooms. Dinner was included, and it was awful. In twenty years of visiting Poland, nearly every meal I've had has been excellent, so the food and service here were a huge letdown. I've only complained about a hotel once before, and I'd tell people to avoid this one. Such a disappointing place.

We used to come twice a year to stay overnight and enjoy the hotel, but this time we brought the kids just for the pool and sauna. The water was freezing, so we couldn't enjoy it. When we complained, they treated us like fools and pointed us to the kids' pool, which was barely bigger than a puddle. We paid over 80 euros for one hour in that freezing water. I won't be back, and I can't recommend the hotel. A really bad experience.

The huge kids' playroom beside the main restaurant was a real highlight. It made for a much more enjoyable evening for the whole family. My family and I had a wonderful stay, with things arranged so both children and adults could relax and have a good time.

The renovated interiors by Arche look beautiful, and there's a nice atmosphere. The desserts were fabulous and the drinks were great. I also loved the idea of a bookstore stocked with interesting books.
