Duet Domki

The house was cozy and looked like the photos, but several things didn’t work properly: the shower cabin was coming apart, the toilet lid was loose, and neither the electric stove nor the air conditioner worked despite our attempts. Wi-Fi was weak, and the water heater took a long time to warm up, with too little hot water for two people. I booked a separate family house with a terrace and jacuzzi, and paid 1,300 PLN, then had to pay another 121 PLN for air conditioning. Only bed linen was included; there were no towels, hand soap, or toothbrush holders. The listing also said there was a washing machine, but there wasn’t one. I attached photos of the defects.

The location is handy for nearby attractions such as Charlota Valley and Bali Indhi, and Zanzibar Bar is very close for delicious dinners. Nearby, there’s a large forest area where you can see deer, roe deer, and other animals up close. We had a wonderful family vacation at Domki Duet. The cottages are very clean, and the owners have clearly put a lot of effort into making the place charming. Children should enjoy the playground, and there’s a jacuzzi for relaxing. The on-site pool and relaxation area cost extra to use, but the pool water is warmer than the sea. The town is charming, and the large sandy, clean beach is about 1 km away on foot. I recommend it for a family trip.

The owner and staff were a real plus, trying to sort out problems, help, and share information. We booked for July 2025. The cottages look lovely from outside, but the terraces are overlooked by guests in neighboring cottages, and the many steps could be a small risk for younger children. Inside, conversations and movement carried through from room to room. One room had a cabinet falling apart and unusable, the shower pressure was very low, and the kitchen was rather sparsely equipped. It had the basics, but, for example, there was no bowl for making salad for the grill.

There are two separate bedrooms, and from the terrace you can keep an eye on the kids playing at the playground right beside the cottage. The place is quiet and works well for families; ours were 4 and 7. The cottages are clean, tidy, and well equipped, with air conditioning, plus an iron and hairdryer, which aren’t always provided. On bad-weather days there’s a basic playroom with books, blocks, table football, and ping-pong. Kids may especially enjoy the cottages with a jacuzzi. There’s also a heated pool for 10 PLN per person per hour. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful. I recommend it.
