Osrodek Wczasowy Joasia I Maciek

For the price, we’ve stayed in much better places, and I won’t stay with Joasia and Maciek again. In Building A, our room was split between upstairs and downstairs, but the steep, unpleasant stairs made it hard to move around. The owner wasn’t very friendly or helpful, and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. We had to make our own beds, then strip the linen and put it away before leaving. We did see a cleaner, but I think the owner makes guests handle that to reduce her workload. We often heard him complain to her about guests who had left. The beds were thin mattresses on the floor, so we could feel the ground beneath us. The room’s slope was so bad you couldn’t stand straight, and the ceiling was very low. Anyone 170cm or taller wouldn’t be able to shower properly. We’ve now been waiting three weeks for a bill for our stay. The mobile homes at the resort might be better, we don’t know. But the owner who looks after them is kind, friendly, and very guest-oriented, the complete opposite of the gentleman from the crowded "apartments," who hasn’t even stayed near better accommodations.

When we arrived, the place was dirty: grimy walls, spiders, dirty and unusable mattresses, filthy windows, and a broken cupboard. The furniture is over 30 years old and needs to be thrown out; the armchair had a hole, the bedding looked like it was from the communist era, and the kettle was broken and long overdue for replacement. It’s not suitable for older people because of the very narrow stairs, and the low ceilings would make it even more uncomfortable for taller guests. We called the owner about the cupboard and got the response, "I've taken note." The place needs renovating, and calling it an apartment is a gross exaggeration. It seems customer comfort isn’t the priority, but keeping things on a tight budget, despite the price of 2,000 PLN for three people for seven days. We don’t expect much, but everyone deserves a clean, functional, pleasant place to stay, and this didn’t meet those standards.

The owner is kind, friendly, helpful, and attentive, and there’s parking on site. Pets are welcome, and bikes can be rented at the resort. The complex is child-friendly, with a small playground, in a quiet area of Jarosławiec, close to both the beach and town center. "O.W. Joasia and Maciek Bungalowy" has mobile homes for 4 to 8 people. Each has a covered terrace with a table and chairs, plus a sun lounger and barbecue. Jarosławiec is also close to Wicie, Darłówek, Ustka, and Łeba. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

We were four people staying in building A5, room 3, and the room was so tiny that it was hard to move around. We could hear everything through the wall. The beds were uncomfortable: the old sofa bed wouldn’t fold up for sitting, and the other two beds were old, torn, stained, and dug into our backs. The table was too small for all of us to eat breakfast together. The bathroom wasn’t much better, with a rusty shower. It looked as if the room hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guests. I had to ask the owner for a mop and clean the floor on the balcony, in the room, and in the bathroom. The toilet hadn’t been cleaned either, and the seat was covered in urine. The plus side is that there’s a pool, ping-pong, and other games for children at the resort. I don’t recommend the place.
