Primavera Jastrzębia Góra

Our daughter loves coming here, and there’s plenty for children to do. The pool is nice, the service is good, and it’s close to the sea, so it’s a good option for winter sea swimming. We’ve been regular visitors for quite some time and will keep coming back because she enjoys it. The rooms are very small for the price, though, and the food is only average, not especially good quality. There’s a good restaurant nearby if you’d rather eat elsewhere.

We had a very nice stay in August despite the awful weather, but the facilities felt too small for the number of guests. Building B’s dining room was cramped, and at busy times there could be a 10-minute wait for food, coffee, or pancakes. That needs attention, especially at a hotel that calls itself kid-friendly. When the weather’s bad, the playroom and pool also can’t comfortably fit everyone, and sometimes it was impossible to play calmly in the playroom. People from outside the hotel can pay to use the pool, so on bad-weather days it gets very crowded. It felt like making money was taking priority over guest comfort. Calling the stay “all inclusive” is misleading too: breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a coffee break are included, but wine, beer, bar coffee, and other things cost extra. The quality for the price could be better.

We especially liked the location and the new Wine story wine and whiskey bar, with its music and atmosphere. I only wished the gin selection were a bit better. The staff were unusually kind and helpful, and the hotel feels cozy and comfortable. It can get lively since it's a great place to come with kids, so I wouldn't call it quiet. The food was a real highlight: plenty of meat, vegetarian, and vegan choices, with a healthy feel and not much fat or sugar. Allergens are listed for every meal, and the kitchen chief's ideas are outstanding.

The one snag for us was the WiFi in our room, which kept dropping out, so I'd give four stars instead of five. Otherwise it suited our young family very well. The staff were lovely, the indoor pool with its flume and two jacuzzis was excellent, and the children's paddling pool outside by the restaurant was really nice. Breakfast was very good. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable, though the towels weren't the best. Room service has a limited menu, but the evening meals were good; we tried them at the bar near the indoor pool, and the chicken pasta was very tasty. My son, daughter-in-law, grandson, and I all enjoyed our time there.
