The place itself was nice, but the sound insulation was awful and the curtains didn't work at all.

Lovely, peaceful setting, and the staff were super friendly.

The quiet neighborhood and the shared kitchen were nice. The kitchen has a fridge and is well equipped, with tall tables and bar stools. You can park in front of the building or on the street. It's a good spot for mountain hikers, and the service was friendly. Breakfast was simple and enough, though I missed having fruit. The oil dressing on the green salad put me off, and probably others too, since hardly anyone tried it. It would be better in a separate jug so people could add it themselves, or make their own dressing. The room was much less comfortable. The bedding wasn't cotton, and the duvet and pillow felt summer-sized, like I was covering myself with air. The pillow was too small and its compact filling didn't hold its shape. We'd booked a king-size bed, but found a king-size frame with two mattresses. A pad would have helped, since otherwise you felt like you could fall into the gap between them, and I couldn't sleep on that mattress. The bathroom had been renovated, but the sink was so tiny that using the toilet left the bathroom flooded. There was also a curtain that didn't cover the window, so there was no privacy during the evening laundry change. With the window uncovered, it was hard to feel comfortable.

We only stayed two nights, and I wish we'd booked more. The owners are fantastic and the place has a lovely atmosphere. There was a themed dinner with the best pork knuckle I've ever had, and the food in general was delicious. Breakfast came with lots of choices and a great espresso. It's an ideal base for trekking.
