Everything was fine, though parking is a little tight. We booked at the last minute and the owner had everything ready. I'd recommend it.

The room was pretty average. It seemed clean at first, but looking closer I found cobwebs and spiders in a corner, plus dust on the floor. The photos had shown some other flaws that seemed small but mattered to me. Our room had its own bathroom, though the neighboring room had one in the hallway.

It wasn't a disaster, but the place was very average. It was relatively clean, the view from the window was nice, and I could sleep well. Getting to the room was a nightmare, like entering Narnia, and the stairs seemed dangerous even when sober. There was a spare room with a bathroom, yet we were given one without, for no reason. Edit: Two years later, the owner says all rooms have bathrooms. When I stayed there, the bathroom was across the hall from the kitchen. My room was the first on the left after the stairs, and it definitely had no bathroom. If it has one now, congratulations on the renovation.

It's a great base for exploring the area, with a shop and bus stop nearby and the train station close enough to walk to easily. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. The rooms are very well equipped, and there's a large garden with a barbecue area. The owner is great, and so is his husky. Highly recommended.
