Palac Wojanów

We paid quite a lot for accommodation with half-board, especially for a destination that isn't particularly sought after, and the value didn't match the price. The room in the Palace building was a spacious Double Room, but it didn't feel very welcoming. We added half-board after arriving, thinking meals would be in the main restaurant. Instead, they were served in a separate restaurant next to the main building, also used for breakfast. The Palace à la carte restaurant has a completely different and much better menu, and nobody made this clear. Breakfast was good enough for the category, but dinner was poor. On the second night, most dishes were minced meat, and the only alternative was gnocchi with mushrooms, offered as both a main course and the sole non-meat option. There was no fresh fruit, just a jelly-like dessert in small glasses. We also tried the pool and sauna. Some sauna showers didn't work, leaving only an ice-cold bucket, while the water by the lockers downstairs was extremely hot, so cooling off properly wasn't possible. The men's changing room had no free lockers, so we had to leave our things in the women's area. All in all, an average experience, and the dinners weren't worth the half-board cost.

Staying in a palace felt amazing, and breakfast made me feel like royalty. The place is spectacular, with lovely well-kept gardens. Its location and spirit really take you back in time.

The pool area was lovely and relaxing, with sun loungers on the patio outside. The castle and garden were beautiful too. Inside, the rooms were quirky and pretty, the beds were good, and the bathroom was clean and fresh.

There's a big free parking area and plenty of space to stroll, perhaps even do some sports. We didn't try any because it was a chilly November afternoon. The restaurant has a palace-like feel and is a nice place to relax over delicious food.
