Clean, cheap, and quiet. A nice, cozy place.

The cold was bad enough that I slept in my coat and hat, since the heating barely worked. The door code also failed when I arrived, and while it was being fixed, someone aired out the whole old building in freezing weather. The included breakfast turned out to be expired food in a fridge in a cold hallway, without basics like cutlery. Before the stay, it was hard to get clear answers from the owner. I tried to sort out the booking and possibly split it into two shorter stays, paying the difference. Booking said the decision was up to the owner, while the owner said it was all up to Booking. When I tried to clarify, I was told off for calling several times, even though I was following Booking’s instructions. I’d booked four days but left after the first night. I couldn’t get my money back because of how Booking handles payments. It’s hard to call this a hotel, or even a hostel. I’ve had much better standards and service at many Airbnb places.

For the price, it was already pretty good. The inside was nice and clean, the TV worked, and breakfast was available to cook yourself. But the shower was terrible, the door was broken, and there were some missing parts. The toilet motors looked ugly, though the tile was beautiful. I had to replace the film box because it took ages to open and wouldn’t return the key. The owners keep things tidy, but it feels like that’s as far as their care for the apartment goes.
