The Ukrainian cleaning lady earns one of my two stars. The location gets the other. That's it. Our balcony was filthy and covered in cobwebs. The corridor was loud, with slamming doors and people shouting after 10 PM, and nobody at reception did anything. The furnishings felt straight out of the 1980s, and the doors were plywood. For all 10 days, breakfast was monotonous, mostly vegetables and fruit. I think there were only two watermelons, even in summer, when the cheapest fish are worth their weight in gold. We're by the sea for 4-5 days, and they served the same yeast cake and the cheapest cold cuts. The coffee was awful. No pancakes, milk soups, or cocoa, and the cereal was soggy, even though there were lots of children. We only ate dinner once or twice. The sorrel soup was a disaster, just terrible water with sorrel from a jar. The outside of the building looks shabby and neglected, with fluff all over it and unmown grass. It didn't feel welcoming, and I definitely won't stay here again.

The food relied on cheap, poor-quality frozen and prepared products. There are no guest amenities at all, while the rooms, bathrooms, little balconies, and interior are shabby. Prices are embarrassingly high for a dingy resort that seems focused on profit and makes no investment in guest comfort.

The buffet was huge and the food was very good, but I still give this hotel an average rating and won't stay again. Building C was a disaster. From the entrance it smelled of cigarettes and mustiness. Room 13, where we were first placed, had stained carpet, a worn, cut-up sofa, and a plywood door black with grime around the handle. After we complained, they moved us to a smaller but clean room in Building B. The hotel is made up of three buildings. B is the main one, with the dining room, and its interiors have been refreshed somewhat. The facade and balconies still look like the Bareja era. Despite being almost right on the bay, the whole place gives a poor impression of a communist-era hotel. The rooms are clean, and some have been renovated.
