Motel Maria

We let them know ahead of time that we were planning a hen party and expected to celebrate until midnight, but we couldn't enjoy the evening in peace and there were lots of problems. We'd arranged to spend the evening at the house and gazebo. Then, just four days beforehand, we found out somebody else had booked the gazebo for a barbecue without the house. Talking to the neighbors, we learned they'd booked after us, so the lady had let us down. At midnight, the neighbors were told to leave. I really don't recommend it.

The beds were very comfortable, and the woman at reception was friendly and keen to help. But the room price feels high for a place with no bathroom, even at this standard. The bathroom is separate, and the Wi-Fi kept cutting out. People partied right outside the window until 2 a.m., then headed to their rooms noisily. It could work well for students, but I’m not sure I’d recommend it to families looking for peace and quiet.

We only spent a night here for a game, and the room was fine for that. The staff were warm, helpful, and very friendly. There’s a barbecue area on the motel grounds, and the nearby water and surroundings have potential for spending time outdoors. Seems like a great place for a big group to get together.

The staff are very friendly, definitely a 5 out of 5, but the rooms are another story. The cheaper option has a bathroom and toilet outside the room, with no flip-flops provided. I’d avoid the shower: it feels like it’s from the communist era, and the water cuts out every five seconds, so washing is a struggle. The urinal has apparently been broken for at least three years. There’s only cold water at the in-room sink, which is hard to accept in the 21st century. Breakfast was a disaster too. I got a sausage once, and it left so much grease on my shirt that I had to throw it away. I have to laugh about it now. The reception might seem nice, but the rooms can disappoint. I’d only recommend this motel as a last resort. Given these conditions, the owner should be ashamed to charge so much. I don’t think it should cost more than 40 PLN.
