A nice detail is that each part of the hotel has its own style. It’s clean, quiet, and feels cozy and home-like. The location is great, and the kitchen has a lovely view. We had a side-facing room, though you may get one with a view. Parking is at the back. There’s a kettle, mugs, tea, and instant coffee in the room. Guests can use the kitchen all day, with tea, instant coffee, something sweet, fruit, and ice. The coffee machine is only available at breakfast. A few things are good to know in advance. It took us until the end of the stay to get the feel of the place. It has a home-like atmosphere, so if you need anything, just tell the lady. Breakfast has just one hot dish, either eggs or sausage, but there’s a full buffet. It isn’t a chain hotel breakfast, so you might find salad or pickled mushrooms. Bring your own shower gel and shampoo, as none are provided. The terrace door is closed after breakfast. To sit outside, you have to use the door by the entrance. That was a bit inconvenient: if I wanted to get tea and read or write outdoors, I had to walk around.

My girlfriend and I just visited, and we thought the place was perfect. We got free parking outside and really enjoyed breakfast. The owner and the lady working there were super nice, and recommended great places to see and eat. We’d come back.

The breakfasts were fresh, delicious, and very well prepared, and our room was large, clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The balcony with the mountain view was a real bonus. A couple of things in the room didn’t work: the skylight blind and the TV remote. Things break, and it wouldn’t have been a big deal if they’d simply been fixed. When we reported them, staff said they already knew: the blind had broken in freezing temperatures, and a child had damaged the remote. Their response made it sound like a normal situation with nothing that could be done. We got the impression these problems had been there for a long time and guests were just expected to accept them. Without a blind on the skylight, the room got so bright at sunrise that we couldn’t sleep. It’s a shame, because with such a good room and genuinely great breakfasts, taking care of these small issues would make the stay comfortable.

Kasia’s breakfasts were simply superb: always fresh, lots of choice, and something hot every time. She made many of the dishes herself, and the lard is insane 😅. The rooms were clean and very warm, the owner was fantastic to deal with, and the location is excellent. I highly recommend the Mountain House!

Kasia really made an impression on us. She’s warm, caring, and helpful, always ready with good advice and clearly committed to making guests feel well looked after. Dom Górski is lucky to have her.
