ActivPark Apartments

The apartment was fine for a few days, communication went very well, and the park view was nice. The apartment’s condition is what makes me unsure about coming back, though maybe the other units are in better shape. The bed had springs under a thick mattress that was far too soft, so sitting at the edge made you sink a lot. There was a power outlet on only one side, even though adding one to the headboard seems easy. The floor by the kitchen unit looked worn, and the chairs were covered in stains. The table, chairs, and terrace windowsill also seemed not to have been cleaned recently. Household rubbish was collected daily, but we had to buy our own bags. There was dish soap, but no sponge or towel. I didn’t want to run the dishwasher just for two cups.

We came back for a second stay, and the beds were the most comfortable of our whole trip. The rooms are studio apartments with fully equipped kitchens and refrigerators. On our second visit we were on an upper floor, with a great view. There’s a gym, a small supermarket next door, and free off-street parking. The lot is very tight, though, and parking our Volvo C40 took some effort. You can drive to anywhere in town pretty quickly, but this isn’t a great place to get around on foot.

The location is really handy, close to shops, playgrounds, Silesia Park, and a grocery store downstairs. The apartment looks modern, but our stay was noisy, dirty, and badly managed. We spent the first two hours cleaning. The owner said he’d come by that evening, then forgot and didn’t answer our messages. The TV looked broken, with a very dark picture and poor contrast, so we couldn’t use it. They said they’d fix it, but forgot again. The shower gel and soap only lasted two days, probably because they hadn’t been replenished before we arrived. It was very hot in summer. There’s air conditioning, but it wasn’t working, and opening the windows brought in a lot of noise from the main road and construction sites. The bathroom outlet was broken and dangerous, with wires exposed. They promised to fix it within 30 minutes, but forgot about that too. We were three people and got only two pillows and one blanket, so we bought a blanket for our daughter.

Small one-room apartment, clean, with a supermarket next door and free parking. The kitchen had basic supplies, but I got a really bad bed and the showerhead was much too low. The other apartments look bigger and nicer, so it depends which one you get. They’re building a new building, and those apartments look really nice.
