Green Hostel Katowice

Cozy, clean, and awesome!

The hostel is clean, the staff are really friendly, and the kitchen is well stocked. They provide towels, and there’s tea, coffee, water and even little snacks. I did miss having cooking equipment, though I suspect it was left out for safety reasons. It’s in a great spot near the train station and Katowice center. The room is small, but the bunk beds are comfortable. My main gripe is the shared bathroom: there’s just one mixed bathroom with two toilets and two showers, and the showers aren’t very comfortable to use.

I’d give it about 3.5-4/5. It’s a decent hostel, clean and in a really good location, and you get a free towel. I’ve stayed in plenty of hostels, and a few little things here made it less comfortable. The bathroom was clean, but there are only two toilets, sinks and showers. The keys for the toilet and shower doors stick easily. The shower setup is awkward too: the hooks are inside the cabin, so I had to cover my clothes with a towel that got wet. You can’t adjust the water temperature or how long it runs. I get that they want to save water, but having to press for three-second bursts gets tiring. The rooms are super clean and spacious, though some hooks or lockers would help. Decent enough, but nothing special.
