The layout is unusual: reception, a restaurant, a pool table, and some fitness machines all sit in one large, skylit lobby, with every room door opening onto that shared space. Since people use it, you hear whatever’s happening in the lobby from your room. If you’re unlucky, there’s no quiet time. Service was the worst part for us. I’ve stayed in many Polish hotels and always had great service until this one. We were only there for one night. In the evening, we found the shower wasn’t draining and told the receptionist. He came up, tried to clear it with wires, then poured drain unblocker down it. The sewage smell became so strong we had to leave the room for a few hours, and the drain still wasn’t fixed. The next morning, another receptionist said a plumber would come at 11am. We asked to have that moved until after 12pm, after checkout, since we wouldn’t benefit from the repair during our stay. She said she couldn’t do that. We asked to extend checkout to 1pm because the repair would take up our time, and she was very hesitant to agree. A couple of hours later she told us the plumber wasn’t coming, so we had to check out at 12:30 instead of 1. I’ve never had such bad customer service at a hotel. Even at check-in, when the two of us asked for two key cards, there was a lot of hesitation and remarks. I don’t recommend this hotel.

We slept really well, with comfortable beds and no noise. The staff were friendly, and the hotel was good value. It was a bit hard to find the entrance. The restaurant wasn’t open during our stay, but the receptionist gave us a good recommendation.

The brief interactions I had with staff were fine, and the hotel is centrally located. But nearby construction and the complete lack of signs made it very hard to find. The entrance looked more like an abandoned building from a horror movie than a hotel, nothing like the pictures online. The rooms were basic, more like student dorms than hotel rooms. I wasn’t expecting luxury, but I did expect somewhere reasonably clean and welcoming, and the price didn’t match the quality. Thankfully, I only stayed one night. The pool and gym were really nice, and I loved the little aquarium with its fish. Everyone was friendly and the service was lovely. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a welcoming hotel, especially if you’re visiting Katowice or Poland. Thanks for having us, we’ll definitely come back with the family!
