We did have a large room with a balcony and air conditioning, plus a sofa and kitchen, which were definite positives. But the kitchen was very basic, with no microwave, tea bags, or sugar, and the mattress was too hard for me to sleep on. The biggest problem was the other guests. Three neighboring rooms were occupied by a noisy group of friends who drank and shouted until 2 am. We’d paid for two nights, but left the room the following evening and drove home. It spoiled the rest of the stay, and honestly, it taught me that I probably wouldn’t rent a guesthouse again.

The room was lovely, tidy, and spotless, and the owner was a really kind, friendly person. It’s a quiet, peaceful neighborhood too. We’ll definitely recommend it to friends visiting Kazimierz.

This was my third visit to the Góreckis'. I keep coming back for the warm atmosphere, good quality, cleanliness, and especially the really comfortable mattresses. The rooms come in different sizes, but each one I’ve stayed in worked well for a couple. They’re quiet and include mini toiletries. You can also buy very good breakfasts on site. There’s a small courtyard with tables for breakfast or an evening meal. I think the price matches the quality, especially since places in Kazimierz can be very expensive. My one suggestion is a more secure bike storage option. The current rack, with wheels, is attached to a pile of wood, and it didn’t let me lock both the frame and wheel. I’d feel safer with a shed or garage, or a rack that could secure both under camera surveillance. Luckily, we had a ground-floor room, and the owner let us keep our bikes inside.
