The staff’s behavior was outrageous. From asking for directions through to the end of the stay, we dealt with women who lacked even basic manners. The property’s inhumane rules were only explained afterward. Had they told us beforehand, they probably wouldn’t have had any takers. The apartment cost 1,200 PLN per night, and Jantar reserved the right to charge a 2,500 PLN deposit, bringing the upfront amount to almost 4,000 PLN for ONE NIGHT. The deposit is reduced, and the refund takes two weeks, if it’s refunded at all. I could understand this for an apartment with truly royal conditions, a jacuzzi, or other above-the-line amenities that are actually expensive to repair. Instead, it’s an ordinary apartment in truly substandard condition. I don’t think the building has been renovated or even refurbished since it was built. The furniture is scuffed all over, and the shower is creaky and rusty. These conditions are absolutely not worth 4,000 PLN per night. Guests who don’t check out by 10:00 AM are also charged a fee of 300% of the apartment price per night, and you aren’t told about it until after the fee has been debited from your account. In our case, it would have been PLN 3,600. So if you rent this apartment, be prepared to pay PLN 7,600 PER NIGHT. I recommend choosing a competitor because it’s simply cheaper.

The location made it easy to get around without a car: the beach, pier, lighthouse, port, oceanarium, old post office, shops and lots of restaurants are all a few hundred meters away. There are several parks nearby too, and the train station is close. I didn't run into traffic jams. Shops in the building include a café, Asian restaurant, spa, clothing stores and a liquor shop with local beer and sushi. There's also an ATM in the underground parking area, plus a fish and chips place and plenty of sweet and savory food nearby. Biedronka, Frog, Gama and clothing boutiques are close as well. The building even has a spa, and souvenir stalls are around if that's your thing. The apartment at 11A/106 Solna Street is quiet despite facing the street, and the balcony looks onto a park with a ropes course. You can watch people crossing into and out of the park from there. It's much roomier than it looks in the photos, very clean and comfortable, with a warm nautical feel from the white and blue decor. There's an elevator, fiber internet and Netflix for rainy days. Everything we needed was provided: kettle, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, iron and board, microwave, induction hob, extractor, cookware, dishes, cutlery, mugs, glasses, corkscrew and wine glasses. The apartment also comes with a parking space, which is handy since parking beneath the building is paid. You can walk to so much from here, though, that a car isn't essential.
