Gubałówka is about a 40-minute walk away, and there’s a free car park. The view from the top is awesome. It’s also a good base for reaching many hiking routes around Zakopane.

I’ll get straight to the drawbacks, since the cleanliness really let the place down. There was dust everywhere, the curtains and windows were dirty, and the toilet seat kept moving. The TV didn’t work, and the remote controls were worn and sticky, so staying in the room to enjoy your mountaineering passions wasn’t really an option. You might be the cheapest place in the area, but cleanliness matters. The automatic Booking message asked me to highlight your efforts to improve service and make customer satisfaction a priority. I’ve mentioned those efforts, but I didn’t see much sign of them. I’ll even attach photos so I won’t be asked again. There are real positives: the views of Giewont and the other peaks are lovely to wake up to. It’s close to the trails and just a three-minute walk from the bus stop. The price was also genuinely good for a long weekend, when prices usually go up. That’s where the three stars come from: location, views, and price. The Holiday Home sent the review request, so here it is.
