I liked the green surroundings and the beautiful buildings with their highlander atmosphere. The room was neat and comfortably furnished, and the bathroom was clean and pleasant. Having a kitchenette on site was a big plus, and we were happy with the service and our stay. It’s a good spot for a weekend in the mountains with horses. Maybe we’ll come back to ride and explore more.

The location is excellent, and the price makes some things easier to accept, like the neglected state of the hotel, the horse smell that makes opening the windows pointless, and being able to hear exactly what the neighbors are doing. But the water is unforgivable. It smells awful, comes out white, and fizzes for a while in a container. It’s disgusting to drink, and it got in my eyes and burned. Maybe the water is more mineralized in the mountains or tastes different, but this seems literally dangerous. I’m no scientist, but I wouldn’t trust it. Safe water is a basic need in any paid accommodation.

On our last day, after a week’s stay, another vehicle scratched our car in the parking spot indicated by the property owner. Our dashcam recorded it, though the footage wasn’t visible because of a frosted window. Staff said the surveillance system was working and that we’d need to ask the property owner for the footage. When I did, he refused. Without checking anything, he immediately and arrogantly said the incident definitely hadn’t happened at his place. I told him that if he wouldn’t share the footage with me, he might have to share it with the police. He said there was no point calling her because he wouldn’t even let her onto the property. When he saw me call the police, he left right away. The police took a report on site. I’m writing this to warn others renting here: if something happens, don’t expect help from the owners. They immediately wash their hands of any responsibility.

The location is very good, but that’s the only positive ;) The cottage and grounds are neglected and dirty, with sticky furniture and a table, plus mold on the bathroom ceiling. There were also problems with the refrigerator, power outlets, missing bedding, and doors that got stuck. The owner made noise at 1 a.m. I won’t go into more detail. It’s not suitable for children under 2, and is downright dangerous for them.
