Rich Witch Villa&SPA

The host was incredibly welcoming and focused on making sure guests were looked after. He’s among the best hosts I’ve met in Europe. The facilities were excellent and kept in great condition.

We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the place. The rooms were clean and nicely prepared, and the house itself is lovely. It was quiet, and each room had a kitchenette with a fridge and dishwasher. Zakopane and some ski slopes are a 10-15 minute drive away. One thing to know: using the hot tub or sauna costs 100 zlotys, cash only, and needs to be arranged in advance. The road leading to the property is in pretty bad shape, though that’s not the accommodation’s fault. I also wasn’t convinced by the apartment door, which couldn’t be locked from inside, even if it may not have been possible to check that from the other side.

The views of Giewont are right there, and the rooms are cozy and tastefully decorated. The wooden house is only a few kilometers from Krupowki and Gubałówka. The kitchenette is very well equipped, the bathrooms are luxurious, and one room even has a whirlpool bath. The mattresses are soft, and there are thoughtful decorative touches everywhere. Three days is the minimum stay, but we were happy to stretch ours to a full week. There’s free access to a section of private forest, plus a shared room with billiards, a fireplace, and a coffee machine for beans. There’s table football too, along with outdoor activities for adults and children. Guests can also pay extra for the sauna, hot tub, or barbecue house, with the price list in the room. Private parking is available. The owner is lovely and always available, and did everything to make us feel at home. If you like mountains, nature, quiet, and magical views, this is a place you’ll want to return to. Thank you for a stay that left a piece of us there. And yes, the Rich Witch Villa really does feel like a luxurious home in the heart of the High Tatras. Put away the crowns, grab your brooms, and go see it for yourself. Even someone who never dreamed of being a rich witch might leave talking and thinking differently.

The owner is friendly and easy to talk with, and most apartments have views of Giewont. This charming villa is clean, tidy, and well cared for, away from the bustle of Zakopane. I’d definitely recommend it.
