Getting to the property was difficult after the snowfall, and we struggled to get in. The upper rooms were tiny, and the shower had mold all over it. There was also a stain on the mattress right at head height, like someone had died there. Glad we only stayed one night.

This place seems geared mainly toward people using it as a hiking base. We knew not to expect much: a bed, toilet, shower and a way to heat food would have been enough. That wasn't the issue. The problem started when the receptionist said our original room had "something wrong" with it and asked us to cancel through Booking.com because we'd be moved to a better one. We went to look at room no. 13, which had a view of Giewont, and it looked fine at first, so we went downstairs and canceled. There had been no message through Booking.com and no usual payment redirect. Instead, we got a text asking us to transfer money to a specified account or pay by BLIK. The number sending it didn't match the property's number on Booking, which made us uneasy. Before paying, we called the official number listed there, confirmed things were in order, and then paid. Only after we'd canceled did they mention that the toilet flushed very slowly, saying, "It's just taking a moment." It still hadn't refilled after 30 minutes. With three people sharing one room, that was unbearable, especially in the morning before setting off on the trail. The bathroom smelled extremely strong. A room like this shouldn't be offered to guests, so one star. There was a table but only two chairs, despite it being a triple room. The bedding seemed clean. Some bathroom grout was badly stained, but we expected a low standard, so that wasn't a major problem. There were two rolls of toilet paper, which was plenty. Kitchens on the second and third floors had a microwave, which we used. There was also a portable two-burner stove in a drawer, though we chose not to use it, and there were cutlery, plates and glasses. The cupboards held jars marked coffee, sugar, salt and so on, but they were empty, dusty and looked untouched for years. They gave a bad impression and seemed pointless. The doors are thin plywood with glass panels. Our door didn't even have a makeshift curtain, so light from the hallway shone right into your eyes when someone came back to the next room at night. At least the heating worked well and it was warm during our December stay. The downstairs windows looked onto the enlarged square or building other people have mentioned, but that didn't bother us. We were three people staying one night. As a cheap base, it's survivable, but the way the room change and broken toilet were handled was unacceptable.

I can't recommend it. What a disaster. 😰 The room looked poor for the price: the door was glass, so people in the hallway could see everything, and there was no toilet paper. Reception closed five minutes after we picked up the key. The rooms had almost no soundproofing. In room no. 13 we could hear every kitchen noise and conversation, plus every step from the upstairs neighbor. The floorboards creaked so badly that we couldn't sleep past 6:30 a.m. The room and kitchen areas were dirty throughout, with only a rough cleaning. The only good parts were the parking lot beside the villa and the view of Giewont from the room, which is why it gets one star. There were two rooms listed as available on Booking, so we called the number provided and the woman said none were available. We checked Booking.com again, saw the room was still listed, and booked it. We had no problem when we arrived.
