7 Koron - Exclusive Apartments

We booked three apartments, and everyone was delighted with theirs. Each one was spacious and clean, with a great shower and a comfortable bed. Check-in uses a code for the main entrance and a key box outside each apartment. We didn't receive our code at first, so we called the number on the door. They apologised, explained that Love Holidays hadn't passed along our mobile number, and sent the codes straight away. The location is hard to beat, right in the old town. The square is a five-minute walk one way, the Jewish Quarter is 10 minutes the other way, and the river is 20 minutes away. There are loads of good restaurants, bars, and cafes just minutes from the door, including one two minutes away that served a lovely breakfast. A shop beneath the apartment had everything we needed, even toiletries. Despite being so central, it was quiet and felt very safe. Krakow is an incredible city, and when we come back, this will be our first choice.

The apartment was clean, renovated, and really comfortable. My two boys loved sleeping in the loft, which made the trip special for them, though it may not be safe for young children. I was pleasantly surprised to find an outdoor elevator, which made things much easier with my disabled daughter and all our suitcases. The detailed video and instructions arrived on the day we booked, making check-in very easy. You can't beat the location in the heart of the old town, close to restaurants, Wawel, and nightlife. We'd definitely recommend it.

The apartment itself was nice and well placed in the city centre, but I wouldn't order its breakfast. It was served at Wentzl Cafe Bistro, about a five-minute walk away, likely through a partnership with the apartment. Though there seemed to be plenty of room inside and outside, we were seated at the back by the kitchen and weren't allowed to sit outdoors and enjoy the view. We saw other guests having the regular menu outside. Worse, all four of us got food poisoning after breakfast on the first day, possibly from the eggs. It ruined the trip, so the next day we went somewhere else to avoid losing more time to the pharmacy and bathroom instead of exploring the city.

The receptionist was very efficient, and all the instructions for check-in, check-out, and finding the room were explained clearly. The place was clean and well maintained, with a roomy bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen. It's in a very attractive area, about four minutes from the main square, with lots of shops and attractions close by. The bed frame creaked terribly whenever I turned over, and it woke me up at night. Parking was tricky. One option is the underground parking under Wawel, eight minutes away. A weekly ticket costs 350 PLN (80 euros) instead of the usual 100 PLN per day, so ask for it at the parking window. Without that awful bed frame, I'd give it 5/5.
