Angel House Aparthotel Wawel Castle

The room itself was quiet, clean, and cozy, with plenty of space for two. There were several pillow types to choose from, plus both air conditioning and a fan. The reception staff were friendly, and being on the first floor made it easy to reach. The location was okay. The downsides were the loud creak from the building’s entrance door, which could be heard often at night, and our room being right beside reception. The TV only had a few Polish channels. There was also an unpleasant wastewater smell in the bathroom, and the shower could do with renovation.

We were in a good location, but the room wasn’t cleaned at all during our four days, and they didn’t even replace the towels. The last night there was no hot water. We could hear everything, even footsteps in the hallway outside our room, and the entrance door every time someone came or went.

We booked an apartment at Angel House Aparthotel for three people, with one double bed and a sofa for the third person. At first all seemed fine. The host said the sofa sheets were stored in the sofa, but when we found them that evening, they looked gray and as though they hadn’t been washed after the previous guests. Spreading one out revealed a large reddish-brown stain in the middle. We tried calling and messaging the manager, but got no reply. I wouldn’t sleep in linen like that, so I borrowed a blanket from my friends and covered my pillow with a towel. None of us got any sleep that night. It’s a real problem that you can’t reach a host or manager when something goes wrong, leaving you to deal with it alone. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

A quiet, tidy place with a comfy bed, and I slept well during my short visit. The shower warmed up quickly, and the staff were friendly. They also let me leave my luggage for free the next day. Everything was easy to walk to from this nice location. I’d recommend it.
