Aparthotel Best Views Luxury

I was looking forward to staying here, but booking never came together. The hotel first replied nicely to my inquiry and sent the offer I’d asked for. When I followed up from my wife’s email, they answered those questions too. Then, when we were ready to book, my emails started bouncing back with a notice that I was blocked for spam. We tried again from her account and got no reply. I called on Saturday night. The man who answered was pleasant, and after I explained the problem, he said he’d send the payment details. Nothing ever came through.

The apartment was a generous 72m², with two queen beds and a great city view. We had a comfortable three-night stay, though some ceilings were low and the washing machine was in a separate room just outside the apartment. It was easy to get to and we had it to ourselves for a useful mid-trip wash. For sightseeing, the spot near Wawel Royal Castle and the Old Town is great. The train station is across town, though, so Bolt is the easier option if you’re carrying bags.

We were three, so an aparthotel made sense when finding a regular hotel room for us was difficult. The reception guys were really nice, grocery shops close, and the center about a seven-minute walk away. There are cafés for breakfast and a bakery just one to three minutes away. Still, the Lux suite felt like a standard room, nothing special. The bedroom and bathroom had no windows, and although the street windows insulated well, we could hear everything from the neighbors. With only hard wood floors and no sound-damping carpet, it got loud. The second bed was a couch that was uncomfortable after a couple of nights, three nights would be the most I could manage. Our flat faced another grey building, so the view wasn’t great.

Everything is walkable from here, and there’s a shop just around the corner, about two minutes away. The staff were professional and friendly, and the rooms had everything we needed. Simply fantastic.
