The room was roomy and comfortable, and the large bathroom had a very good shower. We got extra pillows without any trouble. Most of the staff were friendly and the welcome desk team were helpful, though an older, large bald man seemed grumpy at both check-in and check-out. He didn't ask how our stay was or welcome us when we arrived. We ate dinner at the hotel one evening and it was excellent, nicely presented too. Breakfast was perfectly fine, with bread, cold cuts, cheese, sausage, eggs and the usual options. The hotel sits on a main road, but traffic wasn't audible. Buses to the centre were frequent and cheap. There’s a petrol station a few metres away for snacks and drinks, and a convenience store across the road. My main annoyance was the lack of sockets by the bed. They're all by the long table with the kettle and fridge, so an extension lead may help if you have lots of devices. You can leave things charging for a while when you're out because the power stays on after you leave the room, though the lights go off. I'd recommend the hotel.

The plates at breakfast were dirty, and the bed felt short and narrow for someone who's 180 cm tall. The shower was small too. We also found some cheese left in the room fridge. We called the hotel on the day we checked out, but couldn't tell whether it had been thrown away or taken by the cleaner. The way the hotel communicated with us felt more like what you'd expect at a two-star place, not a guest-friendly hotel.

The room layout was fine, and the location suited our needs. Beyond that, I wouldn't choose this place for a visit or a romantic break. The shower was much too small and breakfast made little impression. It also felt like the property wasn't getting the maintenance investment it deserves.

The room was dirty and the bathroom smelled awful. The bedroom light didn't work, and noise from upstairs was very loud. When we asked to change rooms, the service was bad. This definitely didn't feel like a four-star hotel.

The bathroom was very small, which was the one downside. Otherwise, the hotel looked really good, the room was clean and breakfast was delicious. The receptionists were very polite. It's around three kilometres from the old city, with buses running often.
