The rooms were freezing when our group arrived, and reception told us not to switch on the heating. The thermostat didn't work when we tried it, and the receptionist didn't check or suggest a fix. Several of us ended up sleeping in jackets. Drafts came through the windows, the beds felt like old military beds, and one person developed a rash after just a few minutes under the blanket. Breakfast was booked for 7:30, but nearly all the food was gone by the time we got there. Staff said there was nothing left when we asked for more, so over half the group left hungry. Dinner had been disappointing too: none of us liked the poor quality food, though taste is subjective. Every room had the same problems, and staff made no real effort to help. We felt ignored and unwelcome. This was one of our worst hotel stays, and we can't recommend Hotel CITY SM Business & SPA.

Dinner was awful, even though breakfast was okay. There were flies in the soup and hair in the sauce, and the mean waitress wouldn't bring a fresh bowl of soup. The rooms smelled bad, some were hot and others freezing, and the air conditioning didn't work at all. You couldn't open the door from outside because the knob was broken. Towels and glasses were dirty, and some beds had holes in the mattresses and no sheets.

It's an okay hotel, but room sizes vary a lot. The spa also costs extra and isn't included in the hotel price.

The room was okay, and people greeted me with smiles. Free parking and a decent breakfast are included. The main issue was the lack of electrical outlets beyond the ones used for the lamps and TV. It's about a 10-minute walk to the tram, and grocery stores are only a few minutes away. An interesting location.

The food was amazing, and the rooms were comfortable. Everyone was so kind and helped us a lot when we needed it most. Whatever we asked for, we got with a friendly smile, and the reception ladies were especially sweet. I'd recommend this hotel completely. Thanks, Alexia and Neil from malta.
