You can't really shut the window because the room gets stuffy, but leaving it open means hearing every conversation on the street. There's also a bad smell from the toilet. We were promised a bed and got an uncomfortable mattress on the floor, like something from a horror movie. I'd say this is only for students or people with no other option.

Getting around was easy: bus stops are about 40 meters away, restaurants and mini markets are close, and a 24/7 Carrefour express is around a 10-minute walk. There are two exchange offices within five minutes, both with great rates, and if you're feeling adventurous, two shopping malls are under a 30-minute walk. I already knew the area from an earlier stay in Krakow. I used Jakdojade to pay for the bus, though you can buy tickets at the stop or at Carrefour express. The building is old and has no elevator. The room is small, with a low ceiling and short steps up to the bed, so be careful going up and down. The sofa was comfortable, which helps if you don't mind sleeping on it and are traveling light. The dining table sits under the stairs and barely fits one person; pulling it out blocks most of the room. Reception is below ground level and usually closes around 6 pm, so late arrivals should know that. I was lucky, the girl was working late and could give me the key.

The place is right by a train station, and the staff were pleasant. Our little room was decent, and the main square was about 10-15 minutes away. It worked well for us, but anyone with mobility issues should know there’s no lift, the bed is reached by steep steps or a ladder, and the ceiling in the bedroom is so low you have to bend over.

I arrived late and tired, only to find that the room I’d booked based on its appearance had been switched for a different one. I found that very unpleasant and left first thing in the morning, though I’d booked two nights. They refused my refund. The whole experience was horrible.
