The room was warm in winter, the bed comfortable, the shower hot, and the Wi-Fi excellent. There was an outlet by the bed, a 24-hour grocery store across the street, and the main city plaza just a few meters away. The elevator needs a code. Even with nightclubs around, I didn’t feel unsafe. I was there on weekdays at the end of January, when it shouldn’t have been peak season, but the street noise was unpleasant. Loud music and drunk people yelling went on until 2 a.m. The central location makes some noise understandable, but the windows could be better soundproofed. The walls are thin too, and I could hear the family next door chatting, so I couldn’t rest properly.

I arrived expecting a standard two-bedroom apartment and was disappointed to get a one-bedroom unit instead. The owner refused both a refund and a suitable alternative, which was extremely frustrating. The shower began leaking after I used it on the first morning, and soon the bathroom smelled strongly of raw sewage. That made the stay very uncomfortable. I had a bad experience and wouldn’t book here again.

The area was good, and the room stayed quiet because its windows faced away from the busy street. I only wish there’d been a full-length mirror.
