The location is a real plus, roughly a 5-7 minute walk from the main square. The included breakfast is served at a cafe about six minutes away; the menu has around five choices, including eggs, granola, a croissant, and a vegan option, and you can pick one food and one drink. The setup has some drawbacks. There’s no reception, just a building of rooms, and they send the door code once your room is ready. There’s nowhere to leave luggage. There are no lifts, so anyone who has trouble with stairs needs a ground-floor room. Rooms are basic and worn, with one towel per person, a kettle, and no shower gel or similar supplies. Housekeeping isn’t included; you have to contact them and pay to have towels or bedding changed. The TV only has Polish channels. Each bed has just one pillow, with no extras or reception desk to ask. The wooden floors also carry the sound of people on the stairs outside the rooms.

Being close to the main square is the one real advantage here. The renovated-looking areas may seem nice, but the rooms were filthy, poorly cleaned, and had cracked walls. There were no smoke alarms. Cleaning service costs extra, and there’s nowhere to store luggage. They expect you to carry it across the other side of Krakow to another hotel, which is disgusting.

Free Wi-Fi was a plus, and I noticed the front desk staff were patient and seemed to care from the moment I walked in. This was my first stay, and I think it’s a good hotel option in Krakow. The room was good too. Unlike the hostel in the old IPN, there weren’t beer or vodka bottles around the building. I hope the hotel keeps doing well.

Not recommended. The bathroom was dirty and in a deplorable state. The room smelled damp, and in some cases of tobacco. There were no hand towels or shower gel, no refrigerator, and the flooring was dirty. The mattresses were old, worn, and uncomfortable.
