The location and breakfast were good, but the beds weren’t comfortable at all. The rooms weren’t very clean, there was no shower gel, and the street was so noisy that sleeping felt impossible.

We arrived with two kids and our bags in the cold, hours before check-in, and discovered the door needed a code. Nobody had told us this was a self-service place without staff, reception, or a breakfast restaurant, and we couldn’t even get inside to leave our bags. We didn’t get a refund. We were so angry that we found another place that was actually a hotel. It’s not okay to mislead customers by withholding important information, and I don’t think it’s legal.

Breakfast was good, but that was pretty much the only upside. This isn’t a four-star, or even a three-star, hotel. There’s no parking, and getting there is extremely difficult because of where it is. GPS doesn’t seem to find the place. The building is old and hasn’t been updated. There’s no air conditioning or closet space, the shower stall is tiny, and the small TV wasn’t working. At night, loud music from the local bars kept us up. The receptionists rarely answer the phone and weren’t helpful with directions or other information. I wouldn’t recommend it for families with small kids or anyone looking for a quality place to stay.

The hostess was so kind and went above and beyond, and we felt really welcome. The room was very clean, and the breakfasts were tasty. It’s central and only a short walk to the city centre, while still being tucked away from the crowds. One of the best hotel stays I’ve had, with the nicest, most accommodating service.
