The room was huge, with lovely windows that opened wide, and I liked the place’s old style. It did get noisy from the traffic and trams outside, but I could bear it, and they had little earplugs to help quiet things down. I was travelling alone and would have preferred a double to a twin room, but I pushed the beds together. The single duvets were small and didn’t cover much if you like to curl up under the blanket. The hotel is fantastically placed, about five minutes’ walk from both the old town square and Wawel castle, and around ten minutes from the Jewish Quarters. The area is lovely, with a beautiful church right across from my room and a view of the large Church on the main square too. There’s a taxi rank and tram stop by the entrance. I’d suggest Bolt instead of a taxi, it works a bit like Uber. I only spoke to staff twice, and they were friendly and informative both times. There was a free welcome drink, though I didn’t use it because I didn’t fancy any of the choices, and I don’t drink alcohol, tea or coffee. Aside from the bedding, it was a great stay.

We arrived to minus 12 degrees, so I was worried the bedroom might be cold, but it was cosy and comfortable. The beds and showers were great, and the rooms were so big we couldn’t hear people in the corridors or other bedrooms. There’s public transport right outside, and you can see the square from the hotel, just a stone’s throw away, with plenty nearby. This was our third trip to Krakow, and the best hotel we’ve stayed in by far. The free welcome drinks voucher was a nice touch too.

The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable, and the staff were helpful. It’s a great spot, only a stone’s throw from the old town square. Amazing hotel, we’ll stay again and certainly recommend it.

We had an easy, stress-free transfer because the hotel arranged it by email request. They also let us store our luggage for free and gave us somewhere to wait for the airport transfer. The staff were excellent, attentive without getting in the way. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean, and the hotel has a lovely charm and history. It’s a great base for exploring old town and Krakow. I wholeheartedly recommend staying at Santi Hotel.
