The pool is beautiful, and there are so many restaurants nearby. My room was cosy and clean, the hotel itself is cosy and beautiful, and the food was fabulous. The staff were lovely. They let me stay past checkout because it was freezing and my taxi wasn’t coming until the afternoon. Nothing bad to say.

The bathroom needs a little care when you step out of the tub, since the bathtub and floor can be slippery. Apart from that, I really enjoyed my stay. Service and the sauna were excellent. Rynek Główny is practically on the doorstep, just 20 steps away. This boutique hotel has a distinctive style, mixing subtle modern architectural details into an old building to create a moody, Roman bath inspired atmosphere. The room design is stylish too, especially the ceiling.

We had a fantastic time at Hotel Stary just before Christmas. It’s right in the old town, within walking distance of all the sights. The staff were very welcoming, the hotel was clean, the rooms comfortable, and there were great food options for everyone. We enjoyed our stay so much and will definitely look forward to coming back when we visit krakow again.

Breakfast was good, though service moved slowly, with waits for a menu and for coffee. The rooms are stylish and combine old and new, but they’re quite dark, and we couldn’t see anything in the shower. The hotel has a great rooftop overlooking Krakow and a very atmospheric pool on the lower level. It’s a chic design hotel that I’d recommend, with those caveats.

The staff have always been courteous and professional whenever we’ve visited, and the grotto-like spa area is fantastic. We love the hotel and keep returning for its unique style and decor. If you want to stay in the centre, the location is hard to beat, just a few steps from the main square.
