Hotel Wanda

My room was very quiet and looked out onto greenery, and the hotel is close to a business park. It's good value for money. The bed was the one letdown: small at 200 cm x 80 cm, with just a plank beneath the mattress instead of a slatted frame. Even for a low-budget place, that felt pretty cheap.

You get what you pay for here. The room for two was small and basic, with two outlets, a few coat hangers, a little TV and a small table. The shower was small too, but did the job. We only got one towel on the last day, which wasn't great. Breakfast was simple but enough to last until lunch, and the elevator was so slow we sometimes took the stairs. It's a budget hotel, and it does its job. Yeet.

For the price, location and facilities, I think this is a really good hotel. The building is in good condition and the rooms are nice, with space for the beds, luggage, a TV with channels in Polish and other languages, and a compact but well arranged bathroom. It's in the Kraków-Bronowice area on a major avenue, within walking distance of AGH. A bus stop right outside serves, among other routes, the 208 from Galeria Krakowska, the mall and bus and train station, to the airport, as well as a route to Galeria Bronowice. Breakfast is what really earned it extra points from me. There was fresh, warm bread, yogurt, cereal, milk, a good coffee machine, juice, and a range of cheeses, ham and sausages. You could also add ketchup, mayo or mustard for a hot dog. The breakfast room is fairly large, so space shouldn't be a problem, though it might be if the hotel is fully booked. One thing to know when arriving on foot for the first time: the property is fenced along the avenue and sides, so you need to turn onto a street to get in. There's also a tiny gate that's always open in a particular part of the avenue fence, almost opposite the other hotel beside Ibis Budget.

The room was clean and the bed very comfortable, but the bathroom was tiny and the place is barely equipped, with little beyond a bed and TV. This is very budget accommodation. It works well for a night's sleep before an early flight, but I wouldn't choose it for a longer visit or a business trip.
