Krakowsky Apartment

The apartment is nicely decorated and in a really good location.

The location is fantastic, and the contact with the staff was good. But the apartment was so dirty I didn’t want to touch things. Dust under the table looked like it had been there for months, and there was more on the bathroom door and above the wall tiles. The ventilation grille seemed never to have been cleaned. The mirror was smudged with a child’s handprints, and the microwave and toaster were caked in grime. The bedding smelled. This felt like ongoing neglect, not one missed spot during a single clean. A layer of dust like that doesn’t build up in a few days. It’s a shame, because we thought we’d found a great place in Kazimierz. We visit Krakow often, but we’ll avoid this apartment. I appreciate places with their own atmosphere and don’t need anything modern, but I do expect cleanliness. In the end, it’s up to the owner or caretaker to decide whether the apartment is ready for a guest, even if it’s being made available a little earlier.

I loved staying right in the heart of the old town. For ice cream, head to nearby Wolnica square: the longest queue around is there, but it’s worth joining and waiting a bit. plac Nowy is also close by, with fresh, tasty options for breakfast, lunch, or dinner several times a week. I haven’t found anything quite like it elsewhere.

For a reasonable price, you get a very tidy, clean apartment right in Kazimierz, with lots of places to eat nearby and central Krakow close at hand. What more do you need?
