Panda Hostel

The receptionist was very kind and positive, and the location and Wi-Fi were good enough for booking somewhere else. That was about all we liked. We felt like we’d wandered into some Rodriguez and Tarantino trash movie. Around 1 a.m., there were drunk people sprawled across the porch, entrance, and ground-floor corridors, shouting and trying to dance to loud trance music. We later found out it went on until 6 a.m. The tiny room was dirty, with only plaster on the walls and ceiling. There were no sockets, just wiring in holes. The bedding was old and worn, the foam mattress was terribly stiff, the slats squeaked and creaked, and the single chair was nearly broken. There was no wardrobe, and towels were available only on request. The WC was outside the room and a nightmare: dirty, painted all over with oil-based paint, with mildew on the wall and shower cabin. Disgusting. What got me most was the price: 150 PLN (42$) for this. The next day I booked another hostel with great conditions, beds, and a private WC for 84 PLN (23$).
