Golden Tulip Krakow Kazimierz

We had a clean, functional room, and at street level there was a reception desk, Polish restaurant Estragon, the Gold Cocktail Bar and an outdoor sitting area. Shops and restaurants such as Tbilisuri & Broo are close, as is the Jewish quarter Kazimierz. The hotel is on the edge of the Old Town, about a 20-minute walk from the Main Market Square or Rynek Główny. Probably would come back for the location, despite the worn-out headboard. The hotel sits between Krakowska, with trams and shops, and Bożego Ciała, where Corpus Christi Basilica stands. Beyond the trams and low-rise building (residential?) is St. Stanislaus Church, a five-minute walk away. Our tour manager said they used to stay at a hotel on Rynek Główny, but it had no air conditioning, which is a must for Americans. The tour company's description of the air conditioning here says, “Air Conditioning may be operated on a seasonal basis, and with limited hours in season.” When I used Uber to call a car to airport krk, the pickup point wasn't at the hotel, but an eight-minute walk away. That might have been my fault. Luckily we had time and could walk easily. Traveling light has its advantages.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, and for the price it was alright. The beds are strangely low, but still sleepable. They only give you one square pillow each, so having more pillows would be great. I'd stay again.

Krakow was amazing, and so were Asa, Tomas, Claudia, and everyone at reception and breakfast! Asa is the greatest Polish teacher. I learned everything from her.

The staff were friendly, the place was clean, and breakfast had a very good choice. The restaurant was excellent and good value. I'll stay again and recommend it.
