Roller Hostel

We only booked here because our first hotel couldn't extend our stay, and we wanted more time to see Krakow over Christmas. We found this place quickly on Booking dot com, near the center, train station, and the area we wanted. It's a residential apartment building being used as a hotel. The reception is tucked away on the third floor in what seemed like a servant's room or broom closet. Calling it a hostel or pension might be more accurate, though I didn't see either term in the online descriptions. We paid a premium for the largest studio. It was spacious and looked clean at first, and the location was handy, but maintenance and housekeeping need work. The shower door seemed poorly installed and sat about two inches from the opening, so water escaped onto the bathroom floor. The kitchen faucet was loose enough that I was nervous to use it, and we found a sock left by previous guests beneath the heating elements. If you expect hotel amenities and professional upkeep, this may disappoint.

We had a great stay, and it was amazing value in a really convenient spot. The only things that bothered me were that I ruined my new coat because there were no signs up, and the shower door was broken. Without those problems, I'd give it five stars. I'd absolutely recommend it, and we'll be back 😊

The apartment was warm and roomy, and the beds were comfortable. The host communicated really well, and arranging a late check-in was easy. Great location, too.

The apartment was nice and just a few minutes' walk from Old Town. The WiFi was awful, though, and we never got the second key they said would be provided for the three of us to share.
