Szary Residence

Really good hotel, with staff who were great and very helpful. My only suggestion is to keep the bar open later, especially when it's busy.

The views from the rooms are gorgeous, and the restaurant food is great too. It's also pretty affordable for the level of service. I stay here often for work and never feel the need to switch hotels. Just outside Krakow, the place is spotless, with cozy rooms, comfortable beds, and fresh sheets and towels. The staff are consistently polite, kind, and helpful.

The restaurant was a bright spot: the food was delicious and the service there was so good. The rest of our stay was a letdown compared with what the website and prior messages had led us to expect. We chose the hotel partly because its website promised ponies, but there weren't any on the farm, which was especially disappointing for our child. It also advertised walks in the forest on the property. We learned the nearest forest was 8 km away, a big difference that disrupted our plans. I'd asked ahead for a crib for our 15-month-old. None was available when we arrived, and there was a full bed in the apartment instead, which wasn't suitable or safe for our child. My husband had to go home for our travel side bed, and the taxi cost us another 100zl. The outside curtains were also difficult to close. I asked staff for help, but my husband ended up using an umbrella to shut them. It was frustrating and inconvenient. I hope these problems are addressed so other guests don't have the same experience.

For a weekend in Krakow, we stayed here for two nights in October. Getting into the city by public transport turned out to be surprisingly easy, and we found the atmosphere lovely. Staff were friendly and ready to help, the room was clean, and the food was delicious. A couple of small things could be better: there wasn't a fridge in the room, and we weren't given an extra towel for the wellness session. Still, we really liked our stay, and this seems a good place to stay for a Krakow weekend.
