The staff were professional, friendly and responsive. They offered to switch my room and later offered a refund when I wasn’t happy. The Wi-Fi was excellent, the TV had an active Netflix account, there was a very good coffee machine in the lobby, and the location was good for the old town. Breakfast was very nice too. The rooms and building were disappointing, though. There were little black hairs on the bedding, in the door frames and stuck to furniture. Thick dust covered the bathroom extraction fan, towel radiator and even the toilet roll holder. The main light flickered, and an electrical socket was loose and hanging off the wall. I reported both, but neither was fixed. The shower drained incredibly slowly, and there was visible mold in the grout and corners. It’s on the second floor with no elevator, which wasn’t clear to me in advance and made carrying luggage up the stairs a nuisance. The staff offered a room swap, but the other two rooms I saw had the same hairs, mold and dust. They offered a refund so I could go elsewhere instead of a deep clean. I only stayed a few nights, so I remained there, but the property badly needs a thorough clean and maintenance work.
