Pensjonat Resident

My wife and I were there for just three nights. The service, rooms, and breakfast were all of a high standard, and the hotel restaurant was worth trying too: good food at reasonable prices. For what you get at that price, I'd give it five stars. I think the earlier reviews undersell it.

The location is great, but that's about the only good thing. The guesthouse needs work: the furniture is old and worn, the doors are scuffed, and the bathroom feels like it's from the communist era. Breakfast was a letdown too, with stale bread and poor-quality sausages and cold cuts.

The crib they gave us for our baby was disgusting. I wouldn't put a hamster in it. The receptionist was unfriendly and kept nitpicking about parking, even though every car was facing a different direction. The guesthouse is handy for both the beach and Krynica's center, which is its one real plus. But it needs renovation, the room wasn't properly clean and smelled musty, and the bathroom was in very poor shape. I wouldn't recommend staying here, even if the price looks tempting.

Prices seem to change wildly at the owner's whim, even after a reservation, and don't match what the "Resident" guesthouse advertises online or quotes by phone. I'm going to report them to the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOiK) over this. If you're reading this, I strongly advise against staying or eating there. There are better options nearby for both service and price. Go eat somewhere else.
