We kept the room cool with the curtains, though on a hotter day a fan or air conditioning might be necessary. It was clean and roomy enough for two, or even a family with children, and the upper floors look out over the Vistula Lagoon. There’s a shop nearby, restaurants about a 10-15-minute walk away, and the beach takes around 10 minutes to reach. Parking is tricky, with narrow, steep spaces. Contact with the owner could have been better.

At night it was quiet, and the location works well as a base for trips in any direction. Still, I’m not sure three stars is even fair. The tiny room didn’t match what I’d seen on Booking.com, and the price felt too high for what we got. It gets unbearable on hot days: the room gets sun all day and there aren’t even blinds to keep the heat out. The mattress needs replacing, since I could feel every spring. The parking lot was crammed with cars, and I wish the owner had been more considerate toward guests.

We were put in a basement room with no kitchenette or view, even though the room we booked was meant to have both a kitchenette and a view of the bay. There was parking space for literally two cars. The owner told us where to park, and we had to go looking for the owners to get out of the property. I can't recommend the place or contacting the owner.

There were only a few parking spots, and parking outside the resort is prohibited, so that part was a bit of a hassle. The owner was friendly, though, and things could be worked out with him in a human way. I’m just wrapping up my stay at Villa Oliv, and I’d call it a 4.5-star experience: a lovely, fully equipped room, a fantastic view, and a location close to everything. I really do sympathize with anyone complaining about the heat without air conditioning, and recommending a holiday in Alaska. I recommend it.
