The area around the hotel is beautiful, and breakfast was genuinely good with plenty to choose from. For the price I only expected a clean room and a basic breakfast, though. The carpet was old, dirty, and smelled bad, which was the main thing that spoiled the stay. The bed and toilet felt too small for someone tall, like me at 180 cm, but I could manage. At check-in, the receptionist didn’t speak English, only a little German, and all the information around the place was in Polish. Apart from the carpet and its smell, it was a satisfying stay.

After a long trip I wanted somewhere to rest, and this worked well, with the center not too far away. Before arriving, I asked whether an early check-in was possible. The hotel said there was no problem and that my room would be ready for me. The room suited one person perfectly, with a single bed, a small balcony, and basic amenities. Breakfast was included and had lots of options, enough to get a filling start to the day. The only trouble was the hotel Wi-Fi: the signal was weak, and most of the time it didn’t work.

The full-board meals were very good, though I would have liked some fresh fruit. We stayed during the opera festival, and it was lovely seeing deer in the forest from our bedroom. The service was good, including the health treatments delivered by caring, professional staff. There were some serious drawbacks. There was no disabled access from the road to reception or even to the lift, so getting heavy luggage up the stairs to our rooms was a struggle. The stairway lighting was too dim to feel safe. The mattresses were too thin to support us, so we didn’t sleep well. The furniture was also low and uncomfortable for bigger, taller people.

The employees were among the nicest I’ve ever met, and there are lots of parking spaces. It’s good value for the quality. The only downside is that the building needs some refreshing. A very strong four stars.
