Cichy Zakatek

It’s a beautiful, clean apartment and has everything you need, but I ended up using it as a very expensive single room. I had to rent somewhere else, though my friend stayed here. The upstairs bedroom isn’t closed off by a wall, so I couldn’t get the quiet, private rest I wanted when someone downstairs was cooking or watching TV. I’d called the owner and explained I wanted a separate bedroom where I could shut myself away, so I’d hoped he’d put me in a unit with one. It sounds like there is a lockable bedroom in another apartment, and I wish I’d been given that one. Maybe I should have figured it out from the photos, but I didn’t. The place itself is well equipped, and that bedroom setup was the reason for my three stars.

The owner is really nice and happy to answer any questions. The apartments are spacious, clean, and very well equipped. It’s a great base for hiking and a lovely place to take a break. Definitely recommend it.

We loved the little pond next door, especially feeding the ducks and fish. The kids were thrilled. Cichy Zakątek is in a quiet spot, but it’s still near the center, the spa park, and hiking trails. Our apartment was spacious, spotless, and had everything we needed, and the owners were so kind and helpful. A lovely choice for a family holiday, we’d happily come back.

The private pond was a highlight, with those enormous carp, and the house itself felt fresh, beautifully finished, and well looked after. It’s tucked away, so it’s quiet and private. There’s a big TV with Netflix and YouTube, too. The one thing that could be better is the tiny kitchenette sink, which is really only useful for rinsing a coffee mug. Still, who cooks on vacation?
