Zdrój Wojciech

This feels like one of Poland's most unusual places, almost a time machine taking you a hundred years back. The building is beautiful, and the healing treatments with violin music are wonderfully atmospheric. We only went to the thermal baths, on a weekday and outside the season, but tickets were sold out, so we had to buy them in advance for the next day. Each session lasts 30 minutes and visitor numbers are limited. There's a cafe inside ☕️. Take care with silver jewelry, the water really does turn it black. And remember your swimming cap!

The whole place felt cold and purely practical, and old-fashioned in a way I didn't enjoy. The treatments were brief, and I don't find it therapeutic or pleasant to sit in warm water with a cup of mud for 15 minutes. There was an appalling lack of privacy: doors were opened while I was naked, and that happened every time I visited. Some things, like the alarm pulls, were so grimy they made me feel sick. I need to put this miserable experience behind me.

The building is beautiful and has been recently restored. On the first floor there's a nice café with a lovely view over the park, a good choice of desserts, and two healthy juices. Zdroj Wojciech has natural mineral waters that doctors recommend for many illnesses, though be careful if you have stomach problems. There are nice parks nearby for daily walks and jogging.

The staff are kind, and the atmosphere makes it easy to unwind. I liked the old-fashioned building and the great thermal pool, too. There are plenty of options for massages, relaxing baths, and other treatments. If you’re in Lądek-Zdrój and want a break, this is the place.
