Gościniec Horb

The outdoor sauna overlooking the mountains was a five-star experience, and our two little kids loved the place too. What stood out most was how naturally kind everyone was. The Ukrainian woman handling food and housekeeping was so helpful and understanding, and the owners felt like friends. HORB is spotless, with a level of attention to detail I've seen missing even in some four-star hotels. There wasn't a speck of dust or a spider web. The decorations include an original 100 yo travel chest, icons, traditional regional clothes, and more, but it still feels warm and homelike instead of like a museum. I didn't expect this from a tiny “hotel” in the middle of nowhere. Brilliant place, this is where to stay in Bieszczady.

A nice place to stay!

The breakfasts were delicious, and the service was friendly. Rooms are roomy, with sturdy furniture and pleasant decor, plus lovely views. It's right at the end of a dead-end road, and there are information cards. Child-friendly too. Everything was a plus, highly recommended.

We’ve stayed at the Horb guesthouse four times now, and each visit has been memorable. The weather wasn't great for hiking, but we could still enjoy the charms of the Bieszczady Mountains from the windows, and spend evenings by the cozy fireplace. The owner and staff are always friendly, even when unexpected problems came up with arriving on our booked date. Breakfasts are tasty and plentiful, and the coffee from the new machine is delicious. Every room is tastefully decorated, spotless, full of atmosphere, and has a beautiful view. It’s a wonderful escape from the daily rush, and we’ll definitely return next year.
