U Szoguna

After a long day in the mountains, sitting on the patio with a beer and the crickets around us was just what we needed. The cabins are cozy and well equipped, and the hosts are friendly, easy to talk to, and very accommodating. We were even visited by a curious, cheeky fox on our first night. It’s a quiet spot with lovely Bieszczady Mountains views, yet local shops and restaurants are only a short walk away. The main road is nearby, and it’s a handy starting point for the good trails. A great place to unwind if you’re visiting southeast Poland and enjoy being surrounded by nature.

The winter views are breathtaking, and the cottage makes a handy base for exploring the nearby peaks. There’s a wood-burning stove in the living room under the stairs, so you need to light it to heat the place. It warms up quickly once it’s going, and I didn’t find this inconvenient. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one large and one smaller, each with two sofas or sofa beds. Downstairs you’ll find the living room and dining area, along with a bathroom. The cottage is nicely designed. From the main road, shops and a restaurant are to the right; to the left there are two restaurants and a shop.

Communication with the owners was fantastic, and they’re very well organized. It’s a peaceful place, with just the wind in the trees, birds, and crickets for company. The Wetlinka stream is close by, and most of the restaurants lived up to expectations. I’d recommend it to anyone who values quiet and comfort.
