Ambasador Centrum Hotel Lodz

The room felt very dim, with just two ceiling lights, and one of them was out. There was a white stain on the bed board right next to your head, and even a tiny speck of fudge in the toilet. With carpet on the floor too, it made me wonder how much time they spend cleaning the room.

Good location, but the bathroom door was damaged and both the room and hallway smelled of cigarettes. The staff didn’t make me feel welcome.

We had a nice steam room and sauna, a pool, a good location, and friendly staff during our four-night stay. But be aware that they book parties and alcohol-fueled gatherings here. The smoking terrace is on the 5th floor, so drunken people keep going up and down the stairs, swearing, making noise and slapping the corridor doors. The sound carries down the hallways, and with no CCTV cameras on any of the floors, reception staff don’t know what’s happening. You won’t get a good night’s sleep with parties going on so close. I called reception around midnight to ask for help, but the noise continued until about 2 a.m.

The desk staff were nice and ready to help, and there’s a gym and pool. Breakfast is served at the ambassador premium hotel, so you have to walk a bit. The hotel is close to the town centre. My room had just a shower in the bathroom, and it took a while for the hot water to come through. That was okay, though the air conditioning was quite noisy.
